Does the Jeda Wireless Pad support fast charging?
Yes, the Jeda Wireless Pad is fast charging capable. It works with the quick charge 3.0 capabilities of the Qualcomm MCU ( Samsung phones ) and also the 7.5W iPhone charge. For those who prefer faster charging, we have created an optional add-on, known as the Fast Charging Module.
What is the Fast Charging Module?
The ‘fast charging module’ is independent and optional. It is meant to enhance the charging experience of the Jeda Wireless Pad, and is compatible with other devices.
After extensive testing on different Tesla Model 3s – trying front & rear USBs, as well as the cigarette lighter socket, we have determined the only way to provide fast charging to your phone is by replacing the current source. That’s where the fast charging module comes in.
The ‘fast charging module’ is a complementary portable power bank that provides the Jeda Wireless Pad with up to 15W ( QC 3.0 ) of power. It has 10.000 mah, which is sufficient enough to deliver four full charges to your phone. The fast charging module comes equipped with velcro stickers, making for easy installation and removal. The velcro stickers also ensure safe placement, and minimal movement. An added advantage of using the ‘fast charging module’ is that you don’t need to use the front USB dashboard sockets, allowing you the opportunity to keep a wired connection as well.
Does the FC module need to be removed in order to charge?
In short, no. When we designed the FC module, we wanted to make the wireless charging experience as smooth and easy as possible. That’s why our FC module comes equipped with two USB ports. One USB port has an output of 3A, and the other has an output of 2A. The 2A output has the capability to work at the same time as the charging input, allowing you to keep your FC module connected to one of the front USBs. Therefore the FC module does not need to be removed to charge if you intend to use the 2A USB output. If you own a Samsung phone and would like extra speed, you can use the USB 3A but then you will need to disconnect the fast charge module from the front dashboard USBs.
What is the current input of the Jeda Wireless Pad for the model 3 ?
The current input of the Jeda Wireless Pad ranges from 5W to 15W ( fast charge ) This is the same current output that the Jeda Wireless Pad will be able to charger your phone at.
Current output 1 = 5v 1A
Current output 2 ( fast charge ) = 9v 1.65A
Technical slang aside, around 5V 1A is the regular current of most phone charger manufacturers. The Jeda Wireless Pad will charge as fast of this kind of charger, which you are probably using. If you want extra power, we recommend getting our fast charge module.
